Wave splashes over Rocks at Montana De Oro State Park

Montana de Oro State Park in California is spectacular place. There one can experience a plethora of wildlife and enjoy the crashing waves of the ocean as well. The rugged landscape ends in jagged cliffs. Like giant blades, huge rock masses cut into the sea as the blue green waves roll in and smash against them. I was standing on the cliffs above watching the sea foam swirl when all of a sudden this wave hit the boulder and exploded. The sea-flung foam reached up out of the shadows of the cliff into the shallow warm beams of sunlight. The fragments of water sparkled as they desperately clung to the brightness before falling back into the shadows. Truly, this was a moment, a fraction of a moment, which inspired me. I was eager to render it and sharing my excitement for that moment.
