Beautiful reflections in a river at Yosemite Ntional Park

The wonders of God’s creations are embodied in the magnificence of Yosemite. This scene only hints at the enormous rock face of Half Dome reflected in the rippling waters. I just loved the way the slanting sunlight played with the colors and submerged rock shapes in the stream. Although November can be a bleak time of year, the austere leafless trees and monumental cliffs made the warm greens and golds in the water all the more appealing. This painting was completed in my mind the instant I saw the captivating view from the bridge.
